What is there to do at Kampout Fresno?

Activities are scheduled throughout the weekend, and everyone is welcome to join in, although you are not obligated to participate.
We do suggest observing, though, just for the sheer hilarity of it!
All prizes are awarded at the Saturday Night Kampstravaganza.

What's the detailed schedule of events?

Friday - September 9, 2011:
9:00am  Kampers start arriving and setting up kampsites.  Fees are collected as you arrive.
3:00pm  Needle in the Haystack contest begins, sponsored by the Golden State Bears. 
               Clues will be updated and posted at each of the fire rings.
6:00pm  Progressive Kocktail Party moves through the campground and ends at the Main Kampsite
               at our first Beer Bust hosted by The Phoenix.

Saturday – September 10, 2011:
  8:00am  Needle in the Haystack search continues.  
  9:00am to 11:00am  Breakfast served by the Kampout Committee.
10:00am to 12:00pm Regatta workshop sponsored by the Golden State Bears.
12:00pm  Yacht Regatta to crown Kampout Kommodore sponsored by the Golden State Bears.
  2:00pm  Kamptown Races sponsored by Wild Willy's and Palace Punch served.
  5:00pm  Kampsite Judging begins.
  6:00pm  Beer Bust – keg provided by The Red Lantern & The North Tower Circle.   
  6:30pm  Dinner sponsored and served by Club Legends and Keven Johnson.
  8:00pm  Needle in the Haystack ends.  Contest awards given at the Show. 
  8:ish       Kampstravaganza begins, King and Queen crowned.

Sunday – September 11, 2011:
9:00am to 11:00am  Breakfast served by The Kampout Committee.

All that for only $25 per person!

What is "Needle in the Haystack"?

Three cleverly hidden items are hidden within Kamp.
Clues are given as to their whereabouts, with more clues added over time.
Clues will be updated and posted in all Kampfire areas.
In 2011 sponsored by the Golden State Bears.

What is "Yacht Regatta"?

Pick your yacht (i.e. boat) Saturday morning, and embellish it however you like, starting at 10am. 
Before the race we will pick the best-decorated boat.
We set sail at 12:00 PM, and the fastest in each heat will vie for victory in the Main Event. 
The winner is then honored as the Kampout Kommodore!

What are "Kamptown Races"?

They're kind of  like “field day” in grammar school and have included (subject to change):
Drag Races, Simon Says, Ring Toss, Musical Bar Stools.
In 2011 sponsored by Wild Willy's.

What is "Kampstravaganza"?

This annual Saturday Night Show is for anyone who wants to perform, sing, do comedy, anything!
Kamp King and Kamp Queen are judged by audience reaction.
If you're vying for the King / Queen title, your costume must include 2 or more items found in nature.
All awards for all games are given during Kampstravaganza.
